I've seen videos where people are eating it but have never went looking for it. What does it taste like, how should you cook it, do the bones come split?
Taste like deliciousness! We usually just pick it out of meat that was cooked with the bone in. Have never cooked bones for just the marrow.
That's what my paw paw did. Would swear it was the best part of the steak or roast. He'd eat the grisle and all so..... i never believed him.
Yep eat the gristle, bone marrow and suck the fluids out of the cutting board trough with a straw. Don’t waste the good stuff.
LOL , Good to the last drop. Wait until the Mrs. sees me do that. She blows a gasket if I lick the plate. This ought to be good.
I love marrow…either beef or lamb. Beef shanks have the good stuff. We’ll cut the meat off for a stew or whatever. Roast the bones and scoop out the marrow on toast. Yum! My in-laws are Indian and at get togethers you’ll often see a lamb or mutton curry…bone in. If you don’t get in line early enough the marrow bones get scooped up by those in the know!
