This will take a while to finish, but I'm at a decent point to start a "build" thread. We bought the joint with 2 dilapidated sheds. I threw together a single slope roof housing for the tractor. I bought the tractor on a great deal, promising my wife it will "fix up" the backyard for us. About 3 years ago, this popped up one day in my backyard. OK, no it didn't. It took me a few months from start to finish but I am not a carpenter and only had weekends to build it. But the tractor has a proper home now. And down goes one shed. And down goes another. The smaller shed wasn't terrible, so I saved it for storage and shoved it back. And then a new one popped up in the old one's place. OK, no it didn't, but we now have 2 matching and functional sheds and a third that I tried to hide in the back for extra storage. Now, let's tackle that back "mound".
And now a wall, beginning the trench for gravel footing The footing & drainage material has arrived. Here is the "wall", if someone could just convince it to stack itself. This is now present day and expect the progress to be slow.
The progress may be slow, but it is still progress! Excellent work, thus far, and looking forward to coming along with you on this project. It gives me some inspiration, as we are embarking on buying our home that we will be in for a while, and we will definitely need some proof that good things take time and a lot of effort.
Thanks for sharing your projects with us. I will looking forward to progress updates as time permits.
The Kubota is going to to come in handy with all those tons of stone. That's going to be a cool wall.
Oh they get into almost all my pics it seems. Seems they love to dig anywhere there shouldn't be a hole however. Dry stack, with my baby 'bota if needed, and soon to be aching arms & back.
Thank you all for the kind replies. This will help keep me motivated when it's the middle of summer and I'm somewhere between laying the first ton and the 44th... (yep 44 tons of boulders... owww)
