    That is their clearance price, looks like they had about 7 tons on hand.

    Maine's Choice, last I burned it (3 years ago), was very ashy and fairly cold burning (and my P61a loves hardwoods). Don't think $4/bag is low enough to attract me - and I burn middling pellets most times.

    Your results mirror mine. Not a fan at all. I believe, though, it is a blend and not straight hardwood. The front of the bag says hardwood but the PFI label says Hardwood/Softwood blend.

    well, even though I am also not a fan.....it IS shoulder season, and $4 a bag might not be bad for someone running to take the chill off.....especially given so many outfits dont have ANY product (any port in a storm?)

    it should be the regular pricing...
