We’ve got maybe two more weeks of good weather before it gets too hot and grown in, so I wanted to move on this. 3 good sized loads and then 1 bumper dragger load of wind blown shagbark. We don’t have much hickory so no way I was letting this go to waste.

Great twofer! Always a good feeling finding a primo wood that you dont score often. Cant get much more primo than shag! I love how BL stays solid for years and love finding it long forgotten.

Now you’re making me jealous. I would love a longer spring. Of course “too hot” is also very subjective!

Same. Many hoarders not in the know would likely turn their nose up at a pile like this but we know the treasure within. I wish hickory would wait around until I get to it.

Most years it is July before we turn air conditioners on here.
