was pulling out some tops from my private honey hole that were dropped summer 19, so prime time stuff. We’ve got maybe two more weeks of good weather before it gets too hot and grown in, so I wanted to move on this. 3 good sized loads and then 1 bumper dragger load of wind blown shagbark. We don’t have much hickory so no way I was letting this go to waste.
Great twofer! Always a good feeling finding a primo wood that you dont score often. Cant get much more primo than shag! I love how BL stays solid for years and love finding it long forgotten.
Now you’re making me jealous. I would love a longer spring. Of course “too hot” is also very subjective!
Same. Many hoarders not in the know would likely turn their nose up at a pile like this but we know the treasure within. I wish hickory would wait around until I get to it.
