I passed theses bundles of wood lath today. Customer of mine lives next door. Sent her a text asking about it and she later texts back saying its all mine. Put out for trash i guess? Came back later and grabbed it.
I believe wood laths around here are cut from hemlock??? Over 100 year old house. I know they spit quite a bit when burning. Great kindling! Just some plaster residue and nails. IMG_4092.JPG IMG_4093.JPG

That too but there’s uses for it other than :fire:

Degroot lath artwork comes to mind. I have one in the man cave that my mom did when I was just children.

I used to come across them. The real old ones had small square nails.

No, internet screenshot, but she did do a spot-on reproduction of the covered bridge piece in the screenshot... I have the one that is 3 ducks... I’ll try to snap a pic of it.

A handful of years ago, a house that was being torn inside out had a massive pile of this. Definitely nice for kindling but the DeGroot work is pretty cool too.

There is a place around here that sells stuff like that. Mostly old barn scenes. Crazy money. Like thousands!

Good score buZZsaw BRAD . They can have a lot of splinters. I save small square nails for woodworking projects.

Thanks for that link Eric VW , I haven't seen those. I may know someone who can make something like that.

My customer calls me saying there was more lath curbside. Had to go home that way luckily. These make great stickers for milling too. IMG_5781.JPG
