I use MWP's as my go to pellets. I especially like when I can get the <$200 / ton deal (as I did a couple of weeks ago from a coupon) although I can usually get them for about $225/ton.

CL finds are the best - I am especially looking forward to how the Fusions I got for $125/ton (okay, 49 bags) run. They are a Lauzon product so I believe they are rebranded Cubex. Also got some Blazers for $4.50/bag (haven't burned those yet either - but in the past they have run very well). Got some Cleanfire HW for $3.33/bag that ran at least as well as the MWP's.

I’ve had great luck with MWPs. Like Bogieb said, when you get them for $196/ton they are hard to beat.

Haven't seen them myself, but doing a Google search found a few people on another site that said they burned cold. One person said a couple of years ago there were no fines or dust, and hardly any ash - but burned cold (sounds like the Northeast Pellets I burned a couple of weeks ago) . Someone ilse said they got some this year and they were very dusty, broken and produced a lot of yuckage (technical term).

Here is a somewhat shorter thread on FHC

Thank you bogieb...these were at Menards, they also had about half a pallet of Magic Sparks. I have 2 ton of sets left from last year, so I am good.

I don't necessarily call these "low price",
but I don't think they are "low quality" either..
    North Country at $5.18

Best I could find was green supreme at 200/ton. I've been keeping a close eye on marketplace, but I'm not quick enough to snatch up the good deals

Just grabbed 12 bags of La Crete's from HD @ $5:48 a bag , not bad considering the pellet house wants $6:75 a bag .

I don't know if you easterners will see these, but TSCs in Wisconsin are getting "hardwood" pellets from a new company in Atikokan, Ontario called BioPower. The manufacturer bought an existing factory that was making pellets for a nearby power generating station.

My local TSC is selling these for $204/ton. The bags say "hardwood" but the pellets smell of evergreens and have a waxy surface texture. My Harman lights these up in 50 seconds after the burnpot loading cycle is complete. They are a bit on the ashy side, but they burn hot. Fines and dust are minimal.

I've bought three tons so far this season and will probably pick up a fourth after my basement stash has dwindled a bit.
