Hey fellow fabricators. I'm working on adding a hydraulic log lift.

I am wondering what any of you have for length and width of the table along with degree angle to the ground.

If you want to include the dimensions of the part that sits on the ground that you roll the log on, that would be helpful.

I have most of the valving and lines done and plan to offset the table so it does not interfere with the splitting ram.

    Thanks much in advance.

The height and configuration of your splitter will effect the best dimensions. A starting point for width would be at least 2/3 of the cylinder stroke. For degree of angle 45 degree or slightly more vertical will be a starting point. The more vertical the lift the greater the stress on the cylinder pivot points. Length will be determined by the height and angle of the lift. The part that sits on the ground 12-14 inches long. Keep in mind the log lift is a big lever that will want to tip the splitter.
