Beautiful day here and didnt have to much on my schedule. Figured I would go grab the oak I cut down at my mom's a while back. Loaded up the truck in a short time, amazing how much lighter dead standing oak is!

Anyone who is thinking about making or buying a pickaroon just do it! This woodchuck skideroon I got for a bday gift is worth its weight in gold. Didnt have to climb in the bed once to off load.

That is nice capetown. I fully agree with the pickeroon. I used one of those and a cant hook for loading and unloading the logs you saw in my last thread. I wouldn't be without them. I also used log tongs and would hate to be without those too.

I'm not sure which is more beautiful....the Oak or the Chevy. Both are real nice

Right where I want to be.
I found an old boys axe at a garage sale that I plan to turn into a pickaroon at some point.
    Nice handle length.
Dead Oak is nice, huh? Been getting a bunch from SisIL's place the last 2-3 years. Easier to carry, split, and dries pretty quick.
    Nice haul.

Well I wish the truck was mine. Its my FIL's. I need a truck in a bad way i just hate borrowing things. If i had a truck my wood supply would be ten fold what it is now!
