When I started today there was no wood stacked there. You can't see them but there is wood pallets between the tposts. 16Ft long between posts.

I see a bit more substantial wood pile in the back! Not much snow either.

I installed my first OWB in 93 if I remember correctly.....maybe a year or two earlier. Pretty steep learning curve there, no?

It is a learning curve, but it is very nice. Had to replace the water cerculation pump this winter but over all they are very low maintenance and nice

Oak with maple and I think some ash, I'm really bad at id'ing wood without the leaf to help haha. I do love splitting oak, splits really easy with the isocore, most only taking 1 to 2 swings. :saw: :axe:

Nice work. The amount of snow does not look bad at all.

My paths I have packed down good. We have well over a foot and 1/2 of snow on the ground, I tried taking the 4 wheeler out 2 weekends ago to cut a truckload in the woods and as soon as I turned off the path I just sunk, you can't make it more then 5 feet with a running start.

Didn't get a lot done on the wood pile today,. Had a family members truck not want to start Friday when he got done with work so I had to head there today with the trailer, ended up getting it running so it was a easy load at least, but killed most of the day.

    KIMG0064.JPG

I did manage to get a little cut and split after I got home, will have to stack it tomorrow.

    KIMG0065.JPG KIMG0066.JPG

Made a dent this weekend in the pile.

I fill it in the morning and at night, I'm hoping after I get that hole pile done it will last me tell I shut the boiler down late spring. I burn through about 10 full cords (4x4x8') a year, if I could get ahead so i had dryer wood I would prob burn less. But so far have not been able to.

How long between reloads? I’m fascinated with these burners sometimes as they do the work that most burners don’t do like with wet wood, it’s like a nice garbage burner only I’d be thinking about burning all the deadfall and blow down branches.
