I bought this furnace this fall and never installed it. I had talked to Lamppa manufacturing about having it updated, they haven’t really kept up with the emails. It doesn’t have the same computer, I believe the rest is very similar. I’m selling because I got a deal on a newer vf200 located in northern MN Thanks for looking Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sold. And for anyone later trying to determine a value it sold for closer to 400$ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for the update...good idea to document the price. Did it sell to someone here, or locally? Just FYI, I haven't talked to them for a bit, but the last time I did it seemed like things were starting to be a little less hectic around there...I think they hired some more help, and maybe were starting to have some semblance of organization after the move...
I sold it locally. A lamppa employee came with one of his relatives, the relative bought it. It was a prototype, had a glass window that was never put into production. I was surprised to learn that the new 200s that are getting tested for EPA are slightly different than the vf200 they used to sell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We talked about so much that was over my head , this needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I believe the computer or maybe just components of the computer are different. I don’t think ( again I’m just some guy on the internet) the steel parts are any different. The size and shape of the smoke chamber on the pre v200 that I sold is different than the 200 we know The guts of the door are different on the one I sold vs the 200 we know The pipes through the top that move hot air are square on the 200 we know, they were round on the stove I sold . What would you guys value a functioning but not new vf 200 at ? ( the vf 200 that we’re familiar with ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sounds like they are just updating the new 200 much like the current 100 is now. As for values...I've seen older rougher VF200 go $800, more commonly would be 5-10 YO units in nicer condition $15-2500, depending on exact age and condition...probably a little more yet for a real clean 1-2 heating season one...my 2 ¢
Are they having it tested again? I heard the VF200 already passed the 2020 test a couple months back, but that Daryl thought he could improve the numbers even more...I know they wanted to be making them again over a year ago...probably no biggy since they can't keep up now, let alone adding another model...
I’m not sure ? Maybe the one they brought last fall was the updated one ? I do not know. as you know they are not currently selling any 200 model Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got some photos today from the gentleman that bought my sorta vf 200 . It’s a bummer I lost money but it’s really cool to see this old prototype get back in use ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
