Woke up at 4 am to 15°. Cold crisp 1rst of November morning. Lots of things to do yet to get winter ready but today was a touch some wood day. I had to split some rounds to get room for this load of some what punky box elder stump. A lot of this load is destined for the next summers far pit since there is a lot of rot in the center of it but what the heck huh? Since it was a nice day and the temps killed the bugs in the stacks I thought I would get some wood into the hooch. Still slow and messy but it is sure better than the 12 step method with a wheel barrow and up and down. Come Christmas time the wood shoot is almost not gonna happen if the wind blows and the chit does like every other year round here. Gotta pop a winder out to get outta the hooch some times it seems. http://s229.photobucket.com/user/lindner6/media/holedup.mp4.html?sort=3&o=15 But then there is always this to end a good day.
When I was younger and dumber and I drank, my buddies and I would challenge each other to drink "Sweaty Lumberjacks" Yukon Jack with a healthy dose of Tobasco
You had a cold day, we hadn't got that cold yet by us thank goodness. That dump truck looks like it comes in handy. You made a nice shoot there too! Better stock up the basement stash early this winter.....
