When we built, everyone was shocked we didn't want a wood or LP insert for our LR fireplace. There is nothing that feels nostalgic like an open fireplace IMO. The sounds of it popping and cracking make me feel like a kid again on the holidays. We have our wood furnace for heat but I keep a rack of pine for special occasions... like Thanksgiving... Have a great day everyone!

    Beautiful fireplace System!
And I would feel the same nostalgic way as well.

Thanks Eric! The turkey is in the oven and the fire is crackling away. Unfortunately, my father in law, who has never driven here before, got turned around a couple towns out and my wife and daughter are off saving the day... So, I'm all alone in my bliss for a bit... wait... it's so quiet right now. I think I'm going to pour an adult beverage and enjoy the calm before the storm!

Beautiful System love fireplace for nostalgia, just not heating. Our 6 became 8 as a nephew was alone as mother is nurse and having to work.

still had too much food, much to be thankful for..
