Thought this might be the best place for our rabbit farming adventures. About to dress our first four rabbits.

Looking great Adam! We're expecting a pic heavy post in the smokehouse forum within the next 24 hours.:) I've only had rabbit once. It was breaded in seasoned flour and fried up in some oil in a cast iron skillet...very tasty. What you gonna do with the hides?

At first I could not understand why you hung them to skin them then I saw you were saving the hide.

I always make a cut in the back and just rip the hide to the head and tail and take it off like a sock. But maybe domesticated ran bits have tougher hide than the wild eastern cottontail and it may make this hard or impossible?

Yea. At first I didnt realize you were saving g the hide.

The way I do it , I destroy the hide. Bit I dont keep it...just toss it in the woods. I tear it in 2pieces
