The wind and rain suck, but I'll take low to mid 50's still! That's perfect cutting weather! Heck, I woke up early Sunday morning, saw that the sun was coming out and it was 45° out so I took my coffee outside, started up the splitter and got around a 1/3 cord done before my wife woke up and cooked breakfast. I'd have been drenched in sweat if it had been much warmer out, but 40's and 50's keep me feeling cool still!

Yesterday I washed the car around noon. I was cold when finished and felt good to get back in a warm car. Hum.... 42 degrees at noon.

Today was much better. I think we have 62 out there.

Well it did warm up today. Great day for cutting wood. Went to a friends house to cut some cleaned up fence row wood. Was all thorny locust in large piles. Farmer that farms his land used a dozer and pushed it in big piles. A little intimidating. My friend who worked for a tree service had to leave but told me to cut on a downed cherry. Got a truck load of cherry but have a lot more. Sorry no loaded truck pics, but here is whats left of cherry. IMG_20150428_172804_923.jpg

What a little deceiving is there is another trunk section on the ground. Kinda scratching my noggin as to the safest way to do this. Friend is very experienced so prob wait for his help. Got enough for today.
