What do you guys think? Cut this stuff up today and brought it home on the Titan.
They were dropped last spring I believe and the little starters growing out of the trunks have thorns on them does that mean Osage?

Negative on Osage. Affirmative on black locust. I'm 100% sure.

Are you sure? This stuff is yellow. That second picture was of a part that was cut a few weeks ago I'll get a better picture but the sawdust is definitely bright yellow or does black locust look like that?

Black locust is bright yellow on the inside to. Judging by the bark I'd say black locust also

Black Locust. Bright yellow chips & sparks from the chain. Deep knarly diamonds in the bark, & thorns. Locust fer sure. Great score!

Yes. I cut and burn more hedge in a year than most men do in a lifetime.

I bet there's another few truckloads of it....

And to think I've been taking the hickory, and maple because I didn't know what that yellow crap was! Lol
Googled a bit after last trip and figured it to be either Osage or mulberry, but I'm a newb so I figured I'd throw some pics on here to you experts :)
Stuff sure seems tough, it finished off the dull chain on the husky lol. To the sharpener it goes.
From now on I will get those trees first.
Think I'll take this one down next time:

Hickory and maple aren't anything to be upset about either. Especially if that is sugar maple.

Oh I didn't mean it like that,
Yep, sugar maple, and lots and lots of them, I was cutting those two up because I knew there good.
I am currently working through 6 cords of seasoned maple that I bought cut, split, delivered when I first bought the house.

Where I'm cutting is probably about 5 acres of land that the owner is clearing to develop, all hardwood trees and he says take all I want, most are already felled.
