    Two of these crawled out of the hole in a piece of ash I split.

    It had a set of horizontal pincers in the front. Not the greatest picture and it was kind of smushed. Thanks.

    I thought earwig too. But they’re pincers are on the back,,,,,arent they? Lord it’s been years since I’ve seen one I can’t remember. Nurse!! Nurse!! My meds please!!

    earwig, but the 'pincers' are on the tail end
    They're somewhat common in gardens.

    Yes they are on the tail. Straight means female. The curved pincer ones are male.
