  Wow. I'm having one of the Hoppy Red right now. It's not bad. I also had an Octoberfest. Tasty. My wife likes Pumkin flavor anything. Those are for her. But I do agree. Boston Lager gets my vote as well!

The Octoberfest is pretty good too. I'm not much of the pumpkin fan from them. To settle for me in the spice level...

Well go ahead and have your sissy beers, if that's what you like. It's just a matter of personal preference.

But yeah, the lager is good stuff, especially on tap. Never had a desire to try any of their others.

Not a big fan of Sam Adams. They claim it's brewed in Boston where the corporate offices are located. Instead it's brewed in Colorado.

Really? Interesting... Never knew that. I know that they've switched up their seasonal packs, in which some of my favorites where lost in the shuffle....

Poor old Anheiser-Busch / Inbev / and-now-Miller's got totally excluded from the poll. Heheh.
The news about this said it was necessary because of so many microbreweries taking the market. Back when I drank beer, the Sam Adam's Octoberfest was always my first choice.

Happens to a lot of good things that get out of hand. Sam Adams ain't the only one. At least it's not brewed in some Asian country.

I grew up on Sammy's... but they screwed up when they tried putting that crap in cans.

Octoberfest always delicious and Boston Lager is a great option year round. Haven't tried that hoppy stuff and I don't enjoy the pumpkin crap.

Lots of good beers showing up in cans the last few years. The delivery system doesn't really matter to me. It all ends up in a glass.

My vote is for Octoberfest. It's actually one of my all time favorite beers, and I have five 12-packs in the basement right now to prove it! Well, I had 5, I'm down to 2.5 now. In the past you couldn't even find it in the stores past late September, so I've learned my lesson and stock up as soon as it hits the shelves!

Most of it is actually brewed here in Cincinnati in the old Hudepohl plant where Koch's father worked. I've actually thought about trying to work for them (and still haven't ruled it out). Jim Koch is originally from Cincinnati, but he formed Sam Adams when he was living in Boston. There is a small brewery in Boston, but I think that's mostly for tours. I'm pretty sure the rest is brewed in PA somewhere.
