Neighbor up the street had a tree come down during a storm we had a month or so ago. It in a tangled mess. Nothing a chainsaw and some patience won't fix. Beside gave me an excuse to put some hours on the new tractor. Still hot even at 1730, I didn't cut to much.
Yep, that's not fun work at all. Can you get in there with chains and section the tree and pull it out?
Went a cut a while this morning before heading to work. Brought home 3 buckets worth. Ran the new 545 on this batch. Cuts well, and handles great. Did notice it to be a little slow in the cut occasionally. Still not broke in though.
Finally got some rain and it cooled things down a bit. Put a little more time in on this score. The 545 is starting to wake up a little. It really is a good handling saw. Starts right up cold or hot. Starting a to be split pile.
Another fine morning making some future BTU'S. Starting to get into the bigger pieces now. Glad to have the tractor to in closer.
Still chipping away at the downed red oak. Broke out the AWOL 562XP for the trunk portion. I will say as much as I like the power of the 562xp the 545 is a pleasant running/handling saw.
Beautiful sight sir! Keep those pics coming. Bet the cut speed on that log is night and day between the 2.
