I'm a fan of "lean to's" I had one wall that was available.
I'll just do a picture story. Were finally getting a little rain here so I'm inside.
DSCN9693.JPG rough sawn Hemlock from a local guy.

DSCN9694.JPG I've had the (5) concrete posts in the ground for about 8 years so this was planned for.......... eventually

    DSCN9706.JPG
the only real wall. Right now I'm planning on closing the front side and putting a rolling door on the back.

    DSCN9707.JPG
That lean to on the left is 30 x 78, this one will be 18 x 38 determined by the scrounged rafters I had hanging around.

    DSCN9710.JPG
Do these count for "scrounged" wood ? They were left overs from a town house project.

This is where I was yesterday. Today before the well needed rain, I got the rest of the rafters & ledger up to the back corner.

Really like that. There is never enough storage areas. I have way too much "stuff" my son has too much stuff. We are always thinning it out.

Oh I have STUFF! That's only a 684 sq ft, and the firewood stays outside under much cheaper "roof" although I should be under $6 s/f for this project.

Nothing wrong with some scrounged Engineered ibeams for rafters

That’s a nice pole barn, when my deck build is done I’ll be starting one for the tractor.

Very nice! I’d be really happy with a pole barn that size!

You'd be surprised, It's similar to pickups. First I had regular cab's, no room for your $hit,
then went for a "super cab" on the next 2 go rounds, just not enough room.
Then on to a crew cab(s). You still have to move stuff around to make room for a passenger. :picard:
It must be a personality disorder of some sort.:D

I agree 100%! That’s why I drive a crew cab also. But I’m a barn virgin and you gotta start somewhere

Today there was not a cloud in the sky, the sun was on both sides of me with that new shiny galv roof metal.
I did spend some time under my newly created shade from time to time.

Yeah, just my luck, it waited until I started doing the metal. I had to get off of it before lunch and hit it again after dinner the way the sun hit's it. It's about dead south facing.:hair:

Still pecking away. Got the front wall & widows done, and instead of a long overhang on the end wall to stick "stuff" under, I couldn't help myself and now it's another 10'6" wide room.
