I was telling a friend that the carb on my splitter was leaking gas and wouldn't start and I was frustrated and thinking about getting a new 8 hp Predator engine. He said he had a nos 270 Honda thats been in his basement 10 years. He gave me a killer deal and i mounted it in an hour or so, put oil and gas in it and a little oil in the spark plug hole and cranked a couple times with the plug out. I turned the switch on and it started 1st pull. My old Brave is splitting like new.
I ordered a repair kit for the carb so I'll keep the engine and hope I never need it.

Oh yeah, those Honda's are nice smooth and quiet engines.

Sometimes it pays to be lucky. One complaint I have on my splitter is it's loud. I need to look for a better muffler.
