I bought this Husqvarna 545 a couple weeks ago. I already have a brand new 550xp that has never seen wood yet. So the 545 was an impulse buy, just because it was a good deal. I paid $330 for it and that's all I want for it.

It's basically a new saw. It's Autotune, just like the 550xp, 555, and 562xp. No carb adjustments. EVER!! Just start and run.

The 545 is the same saw as the 550xp, but lacks crank stuffers and is slightly detuned. Will save someone quite a bit of money over new. Comes PHO and only a few tanks ran through it (not by me).

So it's $330 for the saw shipped to your door.

Last pic is of the 545 next to the 550. Other than the standard grey XP accents, the 545 looks the same.

You think the 545 would out cut my 450 ?

The 346 would still outrun the 545, but the 545 should eat outrun your 450.

Also, the "snap" that this saw has, is amazing. Starts easy, revs quick, and these new saws are supposed to be fuel savers. Never have to worry about tuning again. Just mix your fuel and always run at the optimum power level :)

(Sounds like a sales pitch?)

I only bought it because of the cost. I couldn't pass it up. Even having the 550xp (Brother with a little more muscle) I still couldn't resist buying it. I had the money and didn't want to see someone else get the deal :)

I can show the link to potential buyers, of when I bought the saw. To prove the $330 was my paying price as well. Just want to pass along the saw before I spend anymore money on it (bar, chain, etc).

Here are the specs against your 450. It has more HP (not much), more torque (at a lower available RPM), higher RPM, faster chain speed, and it says the same weight, but this saw is pretty small and light.

Here are the specs on the 450

And the specs for the 545

I am still chewing on this one but I have to lose a saw so if you have a buyer don't hold back for me. I just listed my 450 for sale on CL for $225 so maybe I will get a taker on it.

One of the guys on another site had a 346, 545, and 550. He said the 545 was a better runner than the 346 and 550 better than both. Heck of a deal on that one for sure.

Nope. Not in a big hurry. If I was, it would be on "AnotherSite"

Figured I would give it a week or so on FHC. I want to pass the deal onto someone here.

Nice of you to offer up this deal Dex. Someone should take advantage of you passing along savings on an awesome saw.

Hoping someone here does snag it. I am actually losing the shipping cost. Gonna cost around $30 to ship it. With tax, this saw is $500 new (with bar and chain).

As everyone knows, you're a good man.

Since you're making no profit, I wonder if making a thread in the gear section might get it in front of an interested member. Only a thought because the trading post doesn't get a lot of traffic here. Not sure of the rules etc.

You're not really selling as much as passing along a good deal!

Thought about that myself. Only a small percentage really look in here. But I don't want people thinking I get special privileges because I am a Mod.

Dex, do you think 230 shipped for my 450 would be to much to ask? I am going to get it listed a few other spots today as soon as I get some pictures.

No. That's a more than fair price. Should sell pretty quick. IMO. Saving about $200 over new.

I don't think so, but even if a buyer thought it was a bit high, they could always ask you to lower it?
