Hello guys and gals im back again to the forum last i was on was in september/october i had a different user name as well i went by stihl250 so i do have a few questions i bought a used husqvarna 435 x-torq from craigslist its a smaller saw but has a great power band also very balanced now when i got the saw it had maybe max 5 hours of use on it looked brand new now my few questions are is this a saw made in sweden im pertty sure its a sweden model and not like the lower model ones that are a poulan with husky plastics ? It has a metal tag where the rest do that says sweden on it and it is a 2013 model my second question is that from examining my saw it has mounts for a felling spike but its none on it now ive read online that a few people had the same issue because husqvarna put them on the 435 on different years so does any one else have a 435 with that issue or can clarify that a little for me? lol my final question is there any one on this forum that uses this saw and can give me any advice on it thoughts/pros/cons runs awesome btw no issues so far so replys and any info guys is greatly appreciated thanks in advanced-Justin

Checked one out for a fellow-burner a couple years back. Nice, light, snappy little 40cc saw- one of my favorite sizes. His was Swedish-made. Good buys often can be had on 435s at www-vminnovations-com. Like, around $180 refurbed.
About the dogs, I'd get an IPL, look up the p/n, and see what could be found out there. Should be simple search-process. Good luck.

Being a homeowner saw? May be the reason..

My 435 was in the middle. I can't remember if it had spikes or not.

    I'm looking for another pic.

And if the tag doesn't say "Made in Sweden" ? Then it wasnt. This model may very well be a Poulan reproduction.

I have one and love it. I can check on country of manufacture later but it was a refurbished model from VMinnovations. It has the dogs with a 16" bar. I've been super pleased with it but I rarely cut big wood. It doesn't have the grunt of a 50 or 60 cc saw, but it does the job well enough for me. I've been contemplating doing a muffler mod but haven't yet.

That's a 435 in my avatar. I like it a lot, not a heck of a lot of torque, likes to rev. Mine has dogs. Get the carb tool or mod the screws to allow adjustment. Many have said they come set lean to meet emissions. Fatten it up a bit and it will run better and last longer.

So the verdict is in lol its a swedish made saw i called husky today and they could hardly give.me any info they said they only send out new parts and stuff like that i gave em my serial number date of manufacture and all they said they looked through there books and said it was either made in u.s or sweden well duh lol so they said my best bet was to contact a local dealer and they might be able to give me more info so called the local dealer and even told him what happened and he was suprised so i also told him that on my metal tag and sticker on rear handle said husqvarna sweden he really didnt know either well to shorten this up some he had a husqvarna trained technicion that works there he just got out of husqvarna school 2 years ago and he said that when he was in school all the husky chainsaws were made in sweden but the riding mowers were assembled in u.s. he said now tho this may have changed but since my chainsaw is a 2013 model he said it is most likely a swedish made saw woohhooo wow sorry for the long story guys but all this to get any info today was insane especially on husqvarnas part they wernt really any help at all lol thanks again guys
