Bit of a different post here. I really wasn’t expecting to come across this but the pictures kinda tell the story. I’m driving home from work today, seeing this large dump of stuff on the side of the residential road. Here that means its up for grabs. So I take a gander and spotted these. 88D260CC-1A45-452A-9C70-B53522648422.jpeg
This is only half. I had 9 boxes and crates in all. I counted them all..see this picture vvv

143 jars. I found a lot of kerr, ball and even some Mason jars. Usually I call them mason jars as that was a predecessor for all these other ones so it really was to combine them all as I never really saw many Mason jars. About half are odd jam and mayo jars but I’m gonna wait until later to sort through them. Either used for canning or find some way to make them into gifts. The lady is pretty artsy.

Good find! We find a lot in older houses that are being sold and most buyers/sellers don’t want them. That’s how we got almost all of our canning jars

Wow, that is a nice score. We can/jar stuff as well and most all of the jars we own are handed down from grandparents. When my grandmother passed a few years ago, I got all hers and it was so many I gave a friend some.

I believe this is exactly what happened. Likely someone passed away or has to downsize to a nursing home. One of These boxes are of HAMM’s beer like from 40 years ago. And the jars are a little bit different

Nice find! I'm waiting for a score like that. Canned a bunch of apple goodies this year, but could have used some more. Would like to get a garden going finally since we're four years in on this house and only have a little kitchen garden with tomatoes and herbs to speak of so far. Got to get back after it - our last place had great gardens.

Hope you find one, if anything that might help look for the estate sale.

I scrounge mason jars/canning jars whenever I find them. Probably have 15 cases maybe more, and we hardly can anything. Mostly pickles and applesauce. Check your rims for chips, toss or re-purpose them if they have any damage, they are worthless for canning. Run 'em through the dishwasher and good to go. We use them for drinking glasses and crafts, my wife wants me to make those hanging lamps out of some of the old blue jars.

Nice score FB!!! Sadly, when my Mother in law passed we "threw away" about twice that many  "and" we put them out for free, "nobody took them"... We still have about 250. More than we'll ever use...

My freezer has a lot of the wide mouth jars and some small but like the wide for better drinking less spill when pouring. Cheapest good glasses that never go out of style. Likely to change out a few

Likely half will be used pretty soon while others may get put on hold. No need for me to rush. When I realize that these go for over 50 cents to $1 at good will, I at least got something as project potential for free.
