    Hate to sell this one....

Homelite 1050 Super, in excellent condition. Starts, runs, and cuts just as it should. I couldn't ask for it to be much nicer, it has been a wonderful saw to have in my small collection. Pictures don't do it justice, but it is CLEAN! Selling it PHO, comes equipped with a rim setup (8-pin .404). This old girl is actually pretty darn quick in the cut, with gobs of torque.

Just downsizing a little. Been spending more money on saws than they have been making/ or saving me. Time to let this one go.

$345 plus ship. Will leave here UPS ground, and packed well. Send me a PM if interested, also cross posted on another site. Most of my listings sell within the first day or so on AS. Hope this one does the same.

This classified section is becoming a lot like going shopping at the store with the really cute cashier that keeps hitting on you.

You could, but you know that you shouldn't. Even tho it would be fun, and there would be hell to pay afterwards.

    A 1050?! My gawd........

I'm not sure I'll ever have the opportunity to have that kind of saw power in my hands. Looks like a good opportunity for someone needing 100 cc. I'll be content with my 50cc for now.

I like the shopping comment master mech but I just can't help but wonder what the chick behind the counter is wearing. Perhaps some chaps (with nothing else) and of course she has some straw (dangling from her mouth) and simply replies "you want some help with that big thing"
I guess that's just my thought process!!

The way I look at this saw, and most collectable saws for that matter... Is that if you pay a fair price for a saw, and if preserve it and keep it in the same condition... You aren't going to loose any money when you decide to part with it, chances are it has appreciated in value. In the end, you enjoyed the investment and atleast got your money back out of it. I have done it a lot over he years, heck I have probably had a few hundred saws. 090's, 166's, even bigger Homelites, and some pretty rare beauties. Enjoyed them for a while, sent them back down the road to enjoy the next one.

And for any of you guys really looking for a big, collectable saw.. Homelites are in my opinion one of, if not the best to get into. Cheap in comparison to others, and good parts availability. They hold a special place in my small collection, no doubt about it.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. Now someone buy this beauty already before I change my mind, again lol. If I didn't have a XP1020, I wouldn't be letting this one go.

Kenis, it is STRONG. Fast too actually, and dead nuts reliable. Can't say enough good about this saw. Send me a text, well work something out :). Im not desperate to get rid of it, but know that you would give her a good home, and that means a lot to me

Okay - don't exactly need this but would it be a candidate for a milling saw?

I'm running locust logs to a local mill tomorrow morning so I can build non-rotting, non-chemically treated raised garden beds. Often wondered about an Alaskan mill for my infrequent and random milling needs.

Carbine - where in Ohio are you located?

I am in Mansfield. I would have a hard time sleeping at night knowing its strapped on a mill, aint gonna lie lol. On the raised beds, something else to consider besides locust (I did not know this), is Catalpa. Seems to be a lot of it in Ashland, and I guess it is real rot resistant and holds up well. I have thought about going the same route as you with the raised beds, maybe just do it this year.
