I bought a skid of Home Choice pellets after checking the SKU # which produces Lacrete's pellets.
Loaded the 60 bags into my Toyota P/U :D

I visited the Lacrete's website to see if they would show or mention the newer bags, nothing but noticed the original white bags changed somewhat!
[IMG] Alberta choice o_O The ash content also changed from 0.3% to less than 1% and fines from 0.2% to 0.5%.

Less than 1% sounds low but still lot of ash...

Any idea where I can find the La Crete or Home Choice in Massachusetts? Bought them last year and they came 60/skid.

PFI standard only requires that the contents be lower than 1%.

IMHO most likely La Crete wants to keep their dealer network happy and they distanced the box store bags. But I highly doubt the pellets inside are any different no matter which bag.

Last year believe it or not they had them at Leominster Home Depot for a great price I believe I grabbed 3 skids , Ill stop in and see if they have them again this year but that was very rare and odd. Something to consider though is in Leominster TSC they have Maines Wood Pellets which is a blend and somewhat ashy but they burn great at least in either of my Harmans. I'll let you know if HD has any LaCretes again this year not to hopeful but heh never know.

Sorry Ed B stopped in at the HD in Leominster to check as I said I would and they only had Northeast Pellets and Green Supreme although 700 tons of them not what we were looking for . There is another place in Townsend that usually or every year has LaCrete I'll swing by tomorrow and see if they have any as it is only 15 minutes from the house.
