Wow! What kinda temps or conditions are needed for that to happen? We get pretty cold here but never seen anything like that.
Its 6* now, I have seen it from 32 brown to -60* I think I may have to do with the moister freezing from the gas state to solid, honesty I really don’t know. I have noticed when the humidity is high we get hoar frost.
Frost - Wikipedia Found a fairly technical explanation part way down the page. Really cool pics you've got there, Rope.
Wow, neatest thing I've seen today! Beautiful and so unique. Your pics really show the detail, too. Thanks for posting! Sent from my SM-S320VL using Tapatalk
Wow great job capturing such an event. Frost is usually such a quick event it is hard to capture at least here in Eastern NC it is. Thanks for sharing Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Amazing pics. I remember l00king at the moose when it was -10F, completely covered w/hoar frost, standing knee deep in snow, eating sticks and pooping saw dust. Tough life.
We call the stuff that sparkles in the moon lite like a hundred bizillion diamonds spilled from a diamond peddlers pack hoar frost. This is a result of the trees and suck being cold and fog rolling thru the area. Al
