Thanks fellas, so far it's just another day, work and then go home and tinker with some chainsaws. I'm trying to get some maple buckets out, just haven't had the time.... Looking like a good week coming up here for the sap run, I'm going to try to get some taps out.
Happy Birthday Scotty.. My cousin has 6 to 8 thousand taps. He was tapped out end of January. There was not much snow then. Usually you tap on snow shoes put taps about knee high.. So when snow melts you don't need step ladder to pull taps... Learned this hard way to. This year all snow in March, 4 plus feet. Taps are buried.. Teach you not to mess with ma nature..
Despite the wind and blowing snow, we had a great steak dinner cooked over Applewood and hickory! Did some asparagus on the fire too! Just wanna thank all you guys and gals for the birthday wishes. I consider myself very blessed to have all of you in my life!
