    I haven't bought a centerfire firearm in 7 year's
I wasn't aware of the newer generation of guns
I still have all my idpa guns i shot for 25 year's
    Or so.
My widowed sister needed a firearm
Mine were not to her liking
After research and many positive reviews
    So i bought her a taurus g3 9mm 17rnd and a flush fit 15 rnd mag 249.00
She had only shot a .22 pistol before but she did very well.
I couldn't get her to stop the revolver grip
But her fingers are so small it didn't matter luckily lol
    20200620_102005.jpg
21ft idpa target she started with a m&p compact .22 and switched to the taurus

    I was so impressed with the g3 i bought a g2c 9mm on the way home 229.00 20200621_094045.jpg 20200621_132844.jpg AT 75ft it shot good for a compact
    It's 12rnds came with 2 mags
I really like the trigger system it's a restrike setup
With a good imho trigger pull
My sister preferred the g2c so i traded her for the g3

Your sister is doing well with that pistol. That looks like a good buy. How's the trigger on it?

When you first charge the pistol
The trigger has has a bit of takeup then when you hit the wall
    It's around 4-5lbs but a crisp break.
You can pull the trigger again for a bad primer
For example but it's a heavier pull 6lbs plus.
I really like this system it's very quick to transition from glock to this for me.
The new g3 has a wide face trigger
As opposed to the g2c which is very glock like
    And narrow.

I went on a bit of a taurus kick and bought a
    Tx .22
For a more affordable pistol for fun and her to practice with 20200714_163829_HDR.jpg This to has been a excellent pistol imho
Very accurate and a great trigger pull
    Over 1000rnds no jams
Several bad primers with Remington thunderbolt
Wouldn't fire in another pistol either. 20200816_153555.jpg i shot it against a glock 44 .22 and preferred the Taurus and it's 130.00 or so cheaper than the glock.
The glock is a fine pistol too it feels just like my glock .23 just lighter.

    Another Taurus
    Tried out a th9c 9mm it's a traditional
Da/sa but has cocked and locked and a decocker
It's my neighbors he wanted me
To check it out and make sure it functioned properly.
20200615_172739.jpg Shot great with a good single action 4-5 lbs but a heavy double I didn't like
But it works 20200615_172754.jpg 20200615_185412.jpg i put a couple hundred rnds through it on the plate rack no issue's
    Accuracy was good.
I think he gave 239.00 or so for it.

I’ve always been different so here goes. Doing some research on an Umarex .50 cal. air rifle. Need to get a bit more info before I “pull the trigger” on buying one.

I looked that pistol up after I read your posts. That looks like a really nice gun for the $. I like that it has a safety, unlike Glocks.

I'm glad the safeties are small but useable.
She's a new shooter so it gives her
    More confidence having a safety
Me it doesn't matter I'm used to glock type
The m&p line has safety versions available too.

My friend bought a couple rifles i had never seen before Thompson center
    Dimension rifles with interchangeable barrels.
    There's dozens of calibers available
They come with the tools to swap barrels
But the additional barrels cost extra.
They were pretty expensive at 5-600.00+
But they clearanced them out for around 200.00 20200613_124138.jpg we shot a .204 ruger and a 7mm rem mag
Both were consistently hitting at 300yds
No adjustments to the scope that was impressive.
    Nice trigger.
    They are very well built
I'm going to try to find one.

Tried out my friends ruger AR15
At 100yds with just a cheap 20-30.00 green dot holo scope
    It's a very good shooter i was hitting a 4" plate
    Seemed like non stop
First time I ever shot it
Accurate well made rifle. 20200613_132147.jpg There's not many shots over a 100yds here
The tree's and terrain are thick
I don't even have sights on my ARs for coyote hunting
Might get one of these sights it worked great.

Well I was at a rural king and they actually had the very hard to find g3c compact 9mm
It's fairly new to the market.
So I bought it 259.00 comes with three mags 20200822_170610.jpg 20200823_174202.jpg 20200823_174557_HDR.jpg it's much smaller than my glock 23 and
    g3 full size
Actually the 23 and g3 are nearly identical sized
In my eyes. 20200823_174931.jpg it's much smaller and lighter than my s&w .40c
Which holds 10rnds 20200823_110140_HDR.jpg 20200823_105700.jpg it's my favorite of the Taurus line that I've tried
It has the new wide trigger with a crisp break.
I ran 250 124gr jhp through it on the plate rack
    Very accurate little gun
I shot it almost as well as my old glock 23.
And fit my g 23 outbags leather holster perfectly.
I'm selling the g3 full size to fund this one lol
It was just too hard to pass up.

Yes, the m&p with the safeties are another one I like. That and Walther, pretty sure there's at least a model with more than a trigger safety like glock . My s&w 9ve had no safety and while it's ok, the trigger on the gun is super stiff due to the lack of a normal safety.

Last Friday at the range. Earlier CZ75 that my Brother got in Germany and gave to me. Only has a couple boxes through it. Like the target says 15 yds and 40 rounds. Modified quick fire. Rifles are more my style and my eyesight is going south as I get older but I am still modestly proficient. I couldn't get the 1943 Colt 45 to group that well but I was shooting some rather anemic reloads and the gun (like most military weapons) has a decided preference for full boat loads. First time out in a long while! 9mmtarget.jpg

20200205_160420.jpg tried out my friends new mark 4 ruger standard
Shoots excellent but only the action pins kept working loose you can see the rear one loose here.
I've had 6 or 8 of these and the 22/45 versions
    Never saw this before.
The safetys and mag release and take down are much improved over earlier one's.

    Very nice in excellent shape.
    I foolishly sold a cz
Colt had a failed collaboration with cz called the cz40 a futuristic 1911 style da/sa lol
    Extremely accurate only 300.00
    But my friend wanted it
    Hard to find now.
All kinds of clone czs now because they are so good.
