Has anyone ever tried these? I've started to look at them thinking perhaps they might be a bit softer while walking. That is, with my neck problem it is getting to the point where sometimes I feel every step in my neck. Not good, so am looking at various things. One thing that did strike me when looking at some reviews is that the heel is higher than the toe. Would that be like trying to walk in high heeled shoes? Egads!
I wear Crocs almost all the time. Only wear shoes when necessary for working or social occasions like dining out. Once you get past how they look, they are the easiest on you of anything I've ever worn. It's like walking on a thick bed of moss. Mine started out camo, now they are just an olive drab.
Idk Dennis, heel higher than toe is normal. Right now I have a pair that is unisex leather tennis, same thing. I sold high end men's hiking boots and some work boots for several years, all those heels are higher too. When the heel is a bit higher than the ball of the foot it automatically adjusts your posture correctly. Kind of like a teeny tiny version the "ready position" while playing short stop in baseball, only still upright but from foot to hair on head is supported correctly with spine like that. That said yes that is hiking/work boot manufacturers ergonomic trainings...... I've yet to get out of my flat footed slipper moccasins today and my the area between my ankles feet is barking, woops. The other I see is it looks like extra comfy soft rubber/foam'ish soles and a really high price. Some brands are using memory foam inside now too, that stuff is wonderful. Might be easier to just order from them but I bet you could get similar for less $. Any department stores in areas you two get to? Just to look?
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. Work boots/hunting boots all seem to have a heel on them..... "leather boots are still in style for manly footwear..." (sorry Merle) have heels too!
I started years ago with a Wally world generic Croc, if I recall, something like $6. I loved them, and have not been able to get another generic pair since at the correct size. So now, we look for sales on the brand name, and I suppose I go through about one pair annually. Still too expensive for what they are, but my good shoes are lasting much longer, and I'm way more comfortable.
Hey Dennis did you try those shoes and any help with pain shocks every time you step? Edit, I just took a peek, they are shipped with a prepaid return label. But, Like-New condition, so you'll have to test drive them inside. Returns & Exchanges | Gravity Defyer
I have had a few patients try them. Not a bad shoe, but really consider a stiffer shoe or one with great padding. I personally love my lowas, also the hoka shoes are fantastic.
