    That is one sweet load of prime oak. Aged well. Should keep your home warm.

    Looks like you had good luck again PMP. Is this oak simular to the last trip you made, ready to burn this year?

    I got a load of oak like that this spring. When I split it, it metered at around 17%. Gotta love it when you can find it like that!

    Tach on handle the scabbard was a homelite painted it with some plastic spray paint so it would flex and when I topcoated it with some gray it seperated anyway I like the look of it.Thinking of putting a clear coat to give it a darker look so it will match gray on the saw better.

    I got this load close to the other in previous post searched for smaller diameter more work to find but less splitting and its ready:fire:

    If everyone could get wood like that there would be a lot more happy wood burners out there. That is some sweet stuff there.
