Hand delivered from my boss in Germany! This is Husqvarna's new Technical Forest Helmet. My first helmet was a Husqvarna (still have it) but they say you should replace them after a while and mine was so old it only had a 4-point suspension system.
I cheapened out and bought one from Labonville. I never really liked it much... the ear protection was loose, I complained and they sent me new ones and they were a little better, but not great. The face screen was pretty dark as well. In low light conditions, visibility was real bad.
I do have to say though, it saved me. I had a bunch of clearing I needed to do; lots of trees loaded with vines, etc. Long story short, I had a limb from another tree dislodge when the tree I was cutting tugged a vine. A 4' limb fell and hit me on my helmet above my left temple. It ripped the face screen off as well as the ear protection on that side. I lost my glasses (never found them) and the limb deflected off my helmet and hit my shoulder. One minute I was standing then next I was laying on the ground 6' from where I had been standing trying to figure out what had happened! The helmet showed plastic stress fractures so it was retired. I had already ordered my new helmet (ironically) so I was only with my old helmet for a couple of weeks.
Anyway, here it is. It is awesome! Very lightweight, fits well, ear protection is snug, and the screen is the best I've ever had. Visibility is so good, I find that I am constantly checking to make sure it's down. More info here:

Very nice!!!! I looked at those but everywhere I looked the were $130, so I just ordered a Rockman Pro Lumberjack for $49.99, but I really like that Husky. Congrats!
