Access to 15 acres?....Yeah I would call that a pretty good score. Set for life sounds more like it! Never hurts to ask as they say:yes:

Great looking property. If it’s anything like here, there will be more than enough blowdown and storm damage to keep you well stocked and busy.
If given that kind of deal, I would offer to cut brush for them. Not only could it possibly be a benefit for them, once you got it cleaned up it would make harvesting the wood easier.

Great Ron! That is soft maple. Some folks don't like it but we love it here. However, for night fires we do use something that lasts a bit longer. Soft maple does give coals and lots of heat but just doesn't last as long. Also, it dries fast. That which you cut today if split and stacked out in the wind will be plenty dry by next fall. Easy splitting too. We also love it for making kindling. Split small it dries super fast and is a quick easy light-off which also gives good flame for starting other wood.

Ron T how is the hunting in your area. Do you hunt with bow or shotgun? I was recently surprised to find out that archery season lasted well into January in your area.
