Getting the 044 ready

    Let me know what you think of how she sounds. I pulled the muffler cover to look at the bore and piston and everything looks great. Cleaned and oiled the a/f and readjusted the carb. I'm pretty sure she's still plenty rich on the top but it's close. Only trouble is that she can be a bear to start after sitting a while. I should mention I put a new carb and the updated fuel and impulse lines on in the past 6 months. I'm running running a 24" bar and freshly sharpened full chisel chain.

    I'm not 100% certain how to tell. Purchased new in '95 if that helps?

    Did you change the tune for the second cut?
    The first cut sounded far richer than the 2nd cut.

    Looks like a winner to me!! :thumbs:

    After watching both of them a couple times it seems like it to me too but I didn't change anything. Maybe I didn't get it fully warmed up for the first cut?

    That could be the case. I was thinking that after I posted. A hot chamber helps combustion.
