So I'm out scrounging for some smaller trees to run the Alaskan mill for the first time. Here was one of them. Got 3 decent 10 footers..and some small firewood. Just had time for the one tree today. Always glad to have the BX !
    Tomorrow..more cherry..and a little oak ;)

Those logs should make some real nice boards. That tractor sure makes things easier:thumbs:

Very Nice!!! Black Chery is one of Favorites to process. To me it's a great firewood. Also, seems to take a good two years once it's split and stacked to really dry out. Let us know how your milling goes!!!

Some nice boards to come from those. Good luck on your first run and be sure to post pics.

I picked up a few smaller cherry trees the other day at a maple removal we did, one was a long-dead barkless standing snag that I took straight home, split up and stacked up on the porch, we've been burning it the last several evenings. I love the smell of cherry wood smoke. One of my faves.

Oh and HoneyFuzz I'd consider using a picco setup for milling if the size of your logs will allow it, it'll cut alot quicker on those smaller logs and less waste.
