Took the Hardy with us when we moved. Stated working on the trench for the line set. Rented a ditch witch but wish I'd of just hired a backhoe. Needing to make a 90 based on placement and that presented its challenges. I even the folks who live in areas with few rocks.
I will try to get a picture of the boulder wall that I built from the rocks I dug from 30 ft of electric ditch to my house I do not call my place Rocky Hill Farm for no reason at all I used a mini excavator to dig this place would destroy a trencher JB
I cannot even drive a 3/8 rebar pin 10" into the ground here at my place without hitting a dammed sandstone....lol
Got the trench finished up and the hole into the crawl space. Oh yeah moved another bucket of rocks that I'd rather not put on the line set. Picking that up Monday or Tuesday.
AHHH Rocks I only found a few basketballs digging my line ditch this is the pile from the ditch and pad area that I have to sort through This is why I call my place Rocky Hill JB
This is loader bucket # 5 of rocks. I down to half dollar sized ones now that I'll live with. Pad preparation starts this weekend.
Updates? Great looking prep project. Sounds like the Hardy has been worth it enough for you to move it. Not being experienced enough at all, the OWB look like just a logistical nightmare if you had one installed in a barn and tried to use it again at a different location. Seems easier for a new one. Good luck on the next leg.
The heat output and hot water is worth it to me. The move was pretty easy in my case as it was outside in will be going outside at my new place. Not to mention I have 3 good friends in the business. A Saturday and a Ben Franklin and got it unhooked and the water to air coil removed. Hope to have it hooked to the new house next weekend. As for one being enclosed iit would be a bit harder to move unless you planned for that when you enclosed it.
Got the H2 set in place and all hooked up, systems check was good. Now waiting on it to get a little bit colder and then fires will be lit.
