Anyone replaced a door gasket on a G60/M55? Mine is looking a bit tattered up top.

Looking for some info on the size of gasket needed and adhesive used. Thanks in advance!

Take the door off and lay it down. I’m not sure what ESW uses at the factory but when it comes time for me to replace a door gasket I’m going to do some reaserch I did some inspecting after an issue with the summers beat. That gasket was stuck on like I have not seen before. It was a black adhesive.

Thanks! That black stuff may have been stove/gasket cement.

Just do a good job of removing the old gasket and old adhesive......screwdriver/putty knife/gasket scraper all come in handy. Best one for me was the narrow gasket scraper I use in automotive work. As for adhesive, just high temp black silicone.
Rutland 77E EZ Spread Fiberglass Stove Gasket Cement looks to be a good choice. Rated to 2000*F, uses heat to cure.

Another vote for Rutland. I used it on my Enviro, Sister stove to the Regency.

I think the rope gasket size was 5/8 IIRC. I used some squeeze clamps to hold it in place until the goop set up.

Yup I’m just not sure what brand. They all have different properties.

Thank you Sir! Do you remember where you picked the gasket up?

The GC60 or M55 OEM gasket is 9/16” diameter and 10 feet long and expensive. The Standard Rutland 1/2” inch graphite impregnated gasket and tube of Rutland clear High temperature silicone should work fine. This tube of silicone is cheaper than a big cartridge with way more than you need. :)
