This thing has been outside, but next to the house for like 3.5 years. I did fit a Rubbermaid tub over the hopper to keep water from soaking the pellets but the body began rusting almost immediately. Not sure if the paint sucks or the steel is prone to rust but it looked like hell so out with the wire cup and 4 cans of rust oleum high heat paint. Easy to get the spring handles off and only a little bit of masking is needed. Tonight we roast a tri tip!
