Found a Honda in the middle of my wood stacks at 5:30 this morning! 2 guys were running a bit late for work at the East Bend power plant and were leaning on the gas a little too much. They had a doughnut spare on the rear of the Honda and it was raining, a recipe for disaster. Needless to say they spun out and slid over 100 feet off the road and BOOM, into my stacks! They knocked down about 5 cord, through the domino effect, and trashed 3 racks. Notice the splits on the roof of the car.

    Ugh.

My aching back, just thinking about restacking.

Sounds like an opportunity for a small GTG. I'd be there to help, if I was closer.

I hope the only injuries were your stacks.

Both the driver and passenger were uninjured but terribly embarrased!

Yikes! Hope everyone was ok! How much damage to the car? Looks like they've got an overnight load on their roof.....

    Hard to like that...

I hope they offered to make it right and stop in after work and at least help re-stack. Insurance is OK and all but...

My wife mowed down a nice shrub in a ladies yard once when she had a blow out. We went over that following weekend and got a matching shrub and replaced it. She was very surprised and sweet about the whole ordeal. She jokingly asked us if we could hit her mailbox next time so she could get a nicer one... LOL

They are returning with some friends to make new racks and restack. If they don't show, I have the police report with all the needed info to take care of it.

That is very nice of them to do, hopefully it happens and you don't have to follow through with that paperwork. And yes, I know they should do that and it's the right thing....just can't always count on that happening nowadays.

When I read your first line about a Honda, I thought maybe you had stacked wood around an old car a couple years ago and forgot...hahaha.

After reading the title I was waiting for a picture of a snake or some sort of animal. Can't say finding a Honda in your wood stacks was at the top of my list o_O

    Glad everyone is ok!

That has to be a number 1 for odd things found in a wood stack!

Gotta be a joke, maybe a Honda powered splitter. Maybe you should post it in the car hoarding thread! I'm glad no one was hurt and I hope no monetary loss to you Ralphie Boy.

I saw the picture and thought you had found somebody stealing your wood and looked like they were stacking it on the roof.
