I passed by a puke of trash and saw the weed eaters. I kept going but turned around about a quarter mile away. The scavenger in me had to go look. One was an onder cheap weed eater that I have a few similar and had no interest bin. The other was a Ryobi with a weed eater that's detachable. But what caught my eye first was the popular pro polesaw attachment. Then I saw the Ryobi power head. I grabbed the Ryobi and the polesaw attachment. Fuel lines were rotted off it. I figured but needed a carb and fuel lines at worst. Did fuel lines from what I keep around and it wouldn't run other than manually putting fuel in carb. So i ordered the eBay special that even came with the tuneing tool, got an air filter I needed in it as well. Put it on when it came in and it runs perfect after I turned the carb. The polesaw chain was even sharp!! It's a real basic unit but works for it's purpose. It will go to live at my farm property.

Nice score! I once found a headboard on the streets of Brooklyn after turning the corner on the way to the subway....and then some homeless guy tried to say it was his and he wanted $5 for it. I told him I had no money, picked up the headboard, and took it home and used it for like 10 years.

    Pile of puke. Lol.

I have that same Ryobi weed eater. Mine only runs on choke. No idea why, the plug looks great not too white or dark after running. It doesn't like to idle either. But it always starts, with a little gas dumped in the plug hole it starts right up. I've taken the carb off and cleaned it all up, and the same thing happens. I should probably just put a new carb on it, but it's never not started for me.

Sounds like yours runs good now., And yours was free.

Yea get a new carb. I often on cheap stuff just buy the china carb and extras like fuel like plug filter etc. I have some carbs I rebuilt and they never were right.

This one runs great. This is actually brhe first china carb I have ever got that actually needed tuneing when installed. The kit came with the pac man tool as well, I had one but hey another is good. But it takes more fuel I'd imagine to turn the saw head vs the string trimmer.

    Nice find.
I would like to have one but can't justify the money for the amount I would use it.
