I have been searching everywhere for a single wall stainless steel temperature probe to monitor the temperature of my flue liner. I know someone out there has figured out what is needed. I’m using a magnet burn indicator but it is useless on my insert because the liner is in the chimney.

You can't get to the liner to drill a hole for a probe type Condor Flue Guard?

Am looking for something that will attach to the liner. Not inside the liner. Thank you for your help and Handshake to you.

Just clamp a thermocouple probe to the liner with some rock wool on top of it to insulate it and hold it all on with an XL SS hose clamp...now, you'll have to figure out the calibration since you are not getting an internal reading, but it won't take you long to get a pretty good idea what's going on...you'll at least have a relative reading. (normally I run at 350*, but today its at 400* type of thing)
Look at Auber for some nice digital thermometers

Actually, I think maybe I'd get their "washer style" TC and use that to clamp to the pipe/liner...

Thanks again. I just placed the order and got the 16’ washer probe.
You guys are welcome by my fire anytime.
