    I picked up a small Fiskars X11 to split smaller pieces for kindling and/or the fire pit ; mostly slab wood from the mill so relatively easy splitting.

    I have to say that I am very impressed with it.
    Small but not too small , good weight and balance & perfect for one hand splitting.

    Seems like a winner.

    Same situation here. I've always just choked up on my axe to split kindling.

    Its also good at removing the head of a deer. Gross to some, and I apologize to anyone if that offended you, but its the truth;)
