The big headed little fish is a Irish lord that swam into the shrimp pot. The orange fish is a yellow eye rockfish.

Hope the shrimping went well. I messed up on the location I'll be in, Seward not Valdez as I said before. I don't know how well a shrimp pot would do in the jaunt from WA to AK on a plane.

They should be fine. We have a 2 pot shrimp limit. Are you renting a boat or riding with a buddy? If renting a boat they most likely have pot to rent.

Baby loves chasing his siblings with a squiggling shrimp, especially when they start squealing.

I think we're renting but it's not likely a charter. I remember doing this kinda renting about 30 years ago with my Dad and Grandpa. Fun as ever. Up in Angoon. Felt like fish were caught every 5 mins. I found that super fun to go catch rock fish like that in the last hour or so before we headed in on our last trip in Sitka 2 years ago.
