Well I made the first trip up for some lodge pole pine. It was mostly cloudy with a few sprinkles of rain and so all in all not a bad trip. On the first pic the two trees in the center are where I started. The first one is down. A pic of my wife of 43 years who is always there to watch out and take care of me. We cannot take any kind of motorized vehicle into the woods so another wagon load. This one took some thought before cutting down. Last picture. Stacked and will split it come winter. Half cord.
My wife absolutely will not go to the field with me. She doesn't even like to get in my truck and will not run a saw for any reason.
Even better when your wife is a splitting machine. Mrs. Eric VW and Mrs TurboDiesel knocking out a couple cords at the Backwoods Savage compound.
Great teamwork Mag Craft! I love when I get home from work and my wife is already sitting on her cushioned milk crate, splitting our heat! :stacke:
As I've said before, my wife wouldn't pick up a piece of firewood even if she was about to trip over it. But I love her just the same.
Yep. I have 3 more permits and will make 3 more trips. I usually get a little more but I could not bend over and pick up one more log so after 4 trees I decided it was enouph.
I really want to go for a mountain trip, once in my lifetime. I love doing adventures thing in life. Hope so, will turn this wish into reality one day.
Wow. Sounds like a day of fun but sure does make me appreciate a few trees to harvest right in my back yard . Don't ave those views though.
