ISO firewood processor. Must be able to take up to 18-20” diameter and 16ft long wood. Not looking to spend more than $18,000. Located in northeast NY. Willing to travel up to 4 hours away.
Ok thanks. I don’t want a 3pt setup either. I’m looking for a full sized unit. Preferably diesel, but a large gas engine would work also.
Here’s a 2-month old ad. At the least, it shows there might be hope in this price range. With a recent back surgery and an 8 cord per year habit I’m stuck in the middle, wishing but a long way from justifying. 2005 Built Rite 18 SCP-D firewood processor
I went and looked at that machine. Made a deal on that machine. And said I would be back two days later to get it. He called me less than 24 hrs later trying to get more money out of me because someone else offered him $500 more. I declined. I also pumped 10 gallons of my own diesel fuel into that machine because he ran it out just as I got there and he didn’t have any. So basically I got f*****!
They’re out there. But few and far between. I also said preferably diesel, that doesn’t mean it has to be diesel.
Dang! It is only about ten miles from me but I don’t know whose machine it is - I’d rather have people like that a few hundred miles away. I’ve dealt with some truly wonderful people but also a few like this. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth for sure.
RParrotte, you would have come right past Timberwolf on your way to the machine in Ludlow, and also Built-Rite is right there in Ludlow. Have you contacted any of the companies, as they might have customers looking to upgrade? Usually not the cheapest route, but might lead to something.
Buil-Rite had a used one but sold it. I checked with them. I haven’t checked on Timberwolf yet for any used machines.
