I've been buying small batches of Stove Chow and today they now have Fireside.
    Any good?

Bought 4 bags and will use when hopper goes empty.

I have bought them a few times, sometimes by the bag and sometimes by the ton. While I prefer MWP, Fireside Ultra are HD's standard brand. They burn well with average amounts of ash in my P68. I have found them to be consistently the same quality.

Not sure if they have any left as I have not been there for a few weeks but every year in Leominster MA they always have nothing but FSU . Typically they have a few hundred ton every year and they sell pretty fast , sometimes they restock .

Our HD in Augusta ME. Normally keeps them in stock. However, when they can't they will get other brands and sell them at the same price. They keep an open ton right at their entrance for those who buy by the bag. For me, they will pull them, load on a carrier and put them in the car.
