Well, I too lit up for the first time last eve. Several days of overcast and rain really chilled things down around the east coast. The oil burner kicked on a few times fri/sat evenings so I decided to light one up. I can hold the family off anything above 67ish. When it drops below that, they outnumber me! So it begins...
Looks good. Temps are going back up today, so the AC is coming back on. It was chilly in here when we fired the stove up the other night, but it wasn't long before we were opening windows.
This past weekend on sat I was like to hell with this if this keeps up I'll be firing up my stove. Come Sunday was a whole other story t shirt weather and really warm. I'm still holding off for as long as I can
Ran the stove most of last week. Small loads of low btu stuff to chase the chill out of the house. Going to be warmer this week, into the 60's days so won't need it much if the sun shows during the day.
Same here this week with upper 60's but unless we see some sunshine we'll have to have an occasional fire. Got one going now. Temperature 58 and humidity is close to 90%. At least we don't have that high wind like we had last week.
Been raining and cool for a while now. 50s-60s. House holding at 72 so I can hardly justify a fire. Opened the doors and had one anyway this weekend to take the grumpiness out of over a week straight of rain.
No fire here yet. Forecast for the next week has temps in the 70's with lows in the 40's. Better half does like it a bit on the cool side inside.
We seem to be dealing better with the house being cool-ish this year, so that coupled with warmer temps means not much wood burned so far. This too shall pass.
