After scrounging up as much materials as I could and figuring out how to build it around the stacks, I built this. Not being a carpenter or a builder, I pretty much sketched it out and went for it. Everything except the posts and hardware was secondhard as you can see from tthe multicolored shingles. Pallets and shipping crates make up most of it. Floor is pallets set on brick pavers. The shed is 28' wide and holds a littlo over 10 cord if full to the top. I've got about $250 into it, so it did not break the bank. Just kept scrounging stuff till I had enough to startl,
Looks great. I built one similar last year. You’re going to love it compared to open stacks. No cross stacking the ends, little chance of tip overs, no covering and uncovering the tops.
Fantastic job! I really like that it's all second hand stuff and that you had the patience to wait for it to become available. Edit: Looks like we all got here at the same time...lol
Thanks for the thoughts everyone. I have the time now to do more things. Finally retired! At 74 i'm still hanging in there.
Nice. And judging by the size of your house, you'll have enough wood for years to come! We were just a few miles from you Lake Orion last week......
The next time you are down this way you should let me know! I'm a ways from Lake Orion but still maybe we could meet somewhere or you can just take this route on your way.
