The peer pressure on this forum is incredible with all the equipment everyone has. What do newbies need to be aware of when hauling on a tandem for the first time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If you are looking to get more life out of the tires take larger turns instead of just cranking it around in open areas, especially loaded. It looks like a 7k GVW, it will take a lot mpre than whats on there.
No trailer here, but my biggest fear would be a FHC member following me home or putting a tracking device on the trailer!
I really struggled finding the right drop for my hitch. Was thinking it should angle up a little when empty then it would even out when loaded. I went with a 4 inch drop which had the trailer level when empty. Full loaded today was still level. Should I stick with that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yes to breaks and controller. Not sure what u mean by Jack Stands? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Great looking firewood hauler. It should serve you well. Can offer much advice on the tandem as I have a single axle trailer that I use. I am however looking to upgrade it to a tandem.
Jack stands like you'd put under a vehicle for maintenance. Helps ensure that the vehicle doesn't fall on you in the event of a jack failure. Will keep the back of the trailer supported.
Set your brakes each load and don't load tail heavy, it's easy to run over one of the trucks weights before you run out.of trailer.
No, he means, if I'm not mistaken, that if you're gonna load any heavy equipment, you should use jack stands under the rear to support the trailer. I could be wrong, but... cnice_37 ?
