I got it for $400. Then the guy pointed over to the corner and said, "Take that one, too". How did I do, lol. Any idea what the second one is?

    That’s a beast of a stove! I’m a huge fan of a top loader.

That Jotul Firelight is a serious heater, just over 81,000 btu's. Looks like the blue/black enamel finish too. Very nice and will clean up well. $400 is a fantastic price.

Found it on Facebook marketplace listed for $475. Came with tools and pipes. Secondary burn pipes are in great shape. Bigger than we really needed, but will be nice in January during sub zero temps. I need to build a firewall and finish remodeling the dining room now. Not sure what to do with the rust bucket, but it was free.

Awesome !! You can light a small fire in a big stove, you cannot light a big fire in a small stove. Cool freebie, you could set in up in the garage or shop, or it would make an awesome flower planter for the summer, or mailbox post holder, or...

Someone here made the coolest yard fountain with an antique bathtub- anyone remember? Was he in one of the Dakotas?

I had one on my patio for years like your second one, built a fire in it, had about 6' of stack on it so the smoke didn't stay at chair level. Used it with dutch ovens without feet. Then in the fall of the year a little warmth.

You can always set up that rusty one outside and use it for a paper/cardboard/stuff burner.

Sold the rusty one for $100 as I got it. A storm came through and blew down a tree in a friend's yard. I got that tree plus some seasoned wood, plus the go ahead to cut up downed trees to clean up his property. Next January will be warm.
