3rd scrounge in as many days. Another guy who reached out to me asking if I wanted some oak. Logs were on the ground just needing to be cut up. 20 minutes with the saw and 15 minutes loading (with his help) and I was out of there. This wood will be going to my 9yo for his firewood stand. Nothing over 14” in diameter. So this latest scrounge puts me a little over 3 cords since Friday afternoon. How am I doing Buzzsaw?
I burned about 1/20 of a cord this weekend. Didn't cut any Didn't split any Didn't stack any I did walk right up to a few trees that are on the list to fell. Looking up the trunk on all sides to understand any lean.
Haha and he works harder for some of them...If I can't get my truck right to the wood, I'm not interested!
You are doing excellent! Im up to roughly seven cord since January first including yesterdays load. 80% is C/S. This score will yield 1.5 more and i have more in the works. Can i do three more by months end? We'll see. I dont blame you for ease of scrounge criteria. Im getting pickier myself.
The 8' bed is about 72 cubic feet big. The wood on the bottom is stacked and the stuff up on top just went wherever we could get it to ride. That load there is more than half a cord but less than 3/4 of a cord.

Nope, its full cords. After todays cutting pushing eight as i only pulled one heaping load of wood. Lots of rounds already bucked at the score waiting for loading.
